The technology behind it

Every agent is powered by your choice of OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini — bring your own API key for full cost control, or let us handle it. Answers are grounded in retrieval-augmented generation: upload PDFs, documents, and URLs, and the AI retrieves the relevant passage at answer time instead of guessing. When it can't find an answer, that gap is logged and surfaced back to you, so your knowledge base gets better every week instead of going stale.

Automation & AI that does real work

Beyond answering questions, OmniCrabautomates the operational work around a conversation. No-code automation rules escalate on conditions like sentiment, tags, or time-since-last-reply and enforce response-time SLAs — with an AI-written summary attached to every escalation, so whoever picks it up isn't reading the transcript cold. For your human teammates, AI-suggested replies and automatic conversation quality scoring cut the time it takes to respond well.

Security & enterprise readiness

Every workspace's data is isolated at the database layer with row-level security — not just an application-layer check. Inbound webhooks are cryptographically signature-verified, stored secrets are encrypted with a rotatable key, and access is rate-limited platform-wide. Teams can define custom roles with granular, independently-grantable permissions instead of a flat admin/member split, and every workspace action is recorded in a full, exportable audit trail. You can export a complete copy of your data, or delete your account permanently, yourself, from Settings — no support ticket required. We keep a plain-language, continuously updated account of exactly what's in place on our Security page — if it isn't listed there, assume we don't do it yet.

Built to scale

The platform is built on Supabase-managed Postgres with the caching, indexing, and locking layers a real multi-tenant SaaS needs at scale: hot-path reads are cached, high-traffic queries run against purpose-built indexes, scheduled jobs use mutual-exclusion locking so they never double-run, and a public health-check endpoint gives us — and, if you need it, you — a live signal on system health.

Every channel, one brain

Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, Discord, and Slack all share the same AI brain, the same knowledge base, and the same conversation history — a customer gets a consistent answer no matter which channel they reach out on. For teams that want to build on top of OmniCrab directly, a rate-limited REST API and outbound webhooks (with real, visible delivery status) are built in.
